Have you noticed that new brilliant
color underneath the playground
equipment at the park in your
neighborhood? Chances are that you're
looking at
PermaLife Pour&Play™.
PermaLife Pour&Play™ is a vibrant
colored Americans with Disabilities
(ADA) and American Society for
Testing and Materials (ASTM)
compliant "loose-fill" playground safety
surface. Recycled rubber playgrounds are
changing the way people think about
playground surfaces. Playgrounds for
parks and schools are typically surfaced
with sand or soft particles such as wood
mulch. PermaLife™ now offers a
better product for commercial use,
PermaLife Pour&Play, the safest, most
economical rubber play surface on the
market and it
Comes with a 5 Year
Replacement Warranty!

PermaLife Products come with
Microban® antimicrobial protection
so there’s no worry about microbes.
Microban protection works continuously
to inhibit the growth of microbes so
PermaLife colored products stay cleaner.
Microban protection is added during
the manufacturing process to fight the
growth of bacteria, mold and mildew
that can cause stains and deterioration
of the coating. And because Microban
protection is built-in, it won’t wash
off or wear away offering an added level
of defense that lasts for the life of
all PermaLife colored products! **

SAFETY
FIRST!
PermaLife
Pour&Play™ is used by
municipalities, schools and park systems
throughout North America because it
offers children that extra margin of
safety and a greater peace of mind to
school and other officials entrusted
with the safety of our kids.
The Consumer Products Safety
Commission provides
extensive analysis of playground
injuries, and their causes. They found
that more than 200,000 children go to US
hospital emergency rooms with injuries
associated with playground activities.
Each year, more than
200,000 children go
to US hospital
emergency rooms with
injuries associated
with playground
equipment.
Most injuries occur
when a child falls
from the equipment
on to the ground.
Many backyard play
sets are placed on
dirt or grass
surfaces that do not
adequately protect
children when they
fall…alternative
surfaces…including
synthetic surfaces
are recommended.”

We have
found a ground-breaking way of
protecting our kids from these types of
playground accidents. PermaLife
Pour&Play™, an
environmentally-friendly playground
safety surface, protects children from
playground bumps and bruises and more
serious injury, by cushioning their
falls.
PermaLife
Pour&Play™ is a colorful clean
alternative to traditional playground
surfaces, with remarkably good drainage
characteristics. It acts like sand but
is much softer on little knees and
unlike wood mulch, it lasts much longer
and holds its vibrant color. PermaLife
Pour&Play will not cause splinters,
attract insects or animals and it will
not stain children's clothing.
PermaLife
Pour&Play™ is made from recycled
tires, but because of our cryogenic
manufacturing process, PermaLife
Pour&Play™ is superior to other
tire-derived rubber playground surfacing
products on the market.
The PermaLife DIFFERENCE
Tires are
converted into recycled rubber in
several different ways. Virtually all
other producers manufacture their
playground surfacing material from a
process of abrasion (ambient process):
Tires are first shredded and granulated,
and then put through a process using
magnets to remove the metal wire which
is placed in tires during their original
manufacture. The process of many other
manufacturers may eliminate as much as
99% of the exposed wire, but not all of
it, setting a standard which is
insufficient to protect our most
precious resource, our children.
PermaLife's proprietary systems go the
extra step to insure the safety of your
children.
The
PermaLife™ cryogenic (freezing)
process removes 100% of the exposed
metal which is found in other recycled
rubber marketed for this application.
PermaLife
Pour&Play™ is the only brand that
includes an additional manufacturing
step to give you that extra margin of
safety for your playground or play set.
After
cutting a tire into small shreds, the
material goes through a cryogenic
(freezing) process, which reduces the
temperature of the shreds to minus 300
degrees Fahrenheit.
In this
state of deep-freeze, the shreds, which
become as brittle as glass, are then
processed through a hammer mill which
shatters them into small pieces. Because
each of the three components of tires
(rubber, metal wire, and thread)
shatters at a different temperature,
this process cleanly separates the
three.
We then
separate the resulting material using
screens, magnets and vacuum systems,
thereby isolating a ¼ - ½ inch rubber
pellet that is 100% free of exposed
metal wire.
Finally, the
product is then coated in one of
six vibrant colors with a
unique polyurethane-based coating, which
is non-toxic, color-fast and
abrasion-resistant. The product is then
packaged and delivered to schools,
community playgrounds and residential
back-yards, so children can remain safe
while at play.
